Hello!
Thank you for this insightful and well-supported article. I wanted to follow up regarding the ambiguity of one particular sentence.
Under the heading “The 1990s and 2000s, the author vaguely writes, “also for the first time African American music became popular with other races such as Whites, Asians, and Latinos.” Is this accurate? By this time, jazz had undoubtedly seen its heyday of mainstream popularity. It had been flocked to by Whites purveyors and players after its creation by Black and other minority musicians.
Might an edit or a rewrite, for clarity, be warranted?
Thank you, Reginald, for your comment.
That sentence does indeed seem strange! The article will be revised.
