It is interesting that in your article you do not include the fact that the American Anthropological Society discredited Freeman’s book on Margaret Mead. It is also interesting that in your article you explain that during WWII there was a large military presence, greater than the actual Samoan population. You mention that this military presence had an enormous cultural influence. Freeman did his follow up after WWII. You would do well to include Paul Shankman’s work, for a more scholarly balance to your article.
