Please re-check references regarding the origins of the name of the Apostle Mark; according to behindthename.com is derived from “Marcus” which is most likely from the Roman god, Mars. According to nameinfo.org it is of Latin origin meaning “warlike”.
Babynames.parentconnect.com reiterates Mark is rooted in Latin, for the Roman god, Mars.
Where does your evidence point to it being of another origin, please?
Thank you.
