In the “Early Victories” portion of this article the author explains that the account in Chronicles reocords that Asa destroyed all the high places in the land, while the account in Kings states otherwise. If we take another look at the book of 2 Chronicles 15:17 we see that the account gives a more detailed response as to where these high places were not destroyed; it was not Judah that the pagan worship continued, rather it continued in the land of Israel.
