Oceola raid did not occur until 1861, after the period of Bleeding Kansas was over. Jayhawkers killed nine men and freed 200 slaves. The slaves were brought back to Kansas as free men, women and children. Raids in Missouri did not occur until (with I think one exception) until the Civil War of the 1860’s.
