“The New Colossus” poem was written by Emma Lazurus, not Sylvia Plath
Thank you for your comment. However, I cannot find in the article where it says that “The New Colossus” was written by Sylvia Plath. The article states: “Sylvia Plath’s poem “The Colossus” refers to the Colossus of Rhodes. Perhaps the most famous reference to the Colossus, however, is in the poem, “The New Colossus,” by Emma Lazarus, written in 1883…” This statement is correct.
