I believe there is an error in the article regarding the following statement: Her oldest son by Louis would eventually become King of France and Duke of Aquitaine. Thus, her holdings would not be merged with France until the next generation.
Later on, Eleanor and Louis have a second daughter, and there is no male heir from Louis. Their marriage is dissolved, and the lack of a male heir is cited as the reason Louis accedes to her wishes. Eleanor’s oldest son was fathered by Henry, according to other sources.
