It seems like the word “fetus” was replaced with “human being” in the sentence “At 8 weeks, the human being is not fully developed and unable to survive as a separate organism”. This is an article about the fetus, and by making a claim about it being something else (a human being), the article is then making a claim about personhood and thus moral agency, which is encompasses a larger scope than a encyclopedic article (which is supposed to constrain itself to factual information) should. Simply continuing to use the word fetus would keep the article consistent, within the scope of fact rather than opinion, and help prevent readers from arriving at unsupported conclusions.
