There is some incorrect information: The Maronite Church never had to reconcile with Rome. Since the establishment of our first Patriarch St. John Maron in app. 612 AD. we have never lost unity with Rome. In fact, we are the only Eastern Rite church to never loose it( with exception to the Italo/Albanian Catholic church) Check your facts.

Thanks for this correction. I changed the statement to indicate that the Maronites affirmed their affinity with Rome rather than they were “reconciled” to Rome. — DF
