In your description outlining the december 1970 protests, you claim hundreds were killed and cite a source that claims that “the bloodshed claimed hundreds of victims and inflamed the entire coastline before the party annulled the price increases and pushed Gomulka into retirement.” I believe your use of this to back up your claim of hundreds dying is a misinterpretation of the facts presented in your source, as, if I’m not mistaken, only 44 people died in the protests in 1970.

You are correct that the source does not say hundreds were killed. The article will be revised to correct that misrepresentation.
