You have a good and informative article about Jehoiakim. However, the article states that the prophecy against him “went apparently unfulfilled”, and yet , in the same article numerous references to the king’s ignominious death are in alignment with Jeremiah’s prophecy against him. Though each has a different twist, the same idea is conveyed: Jehoiakim certainly died a disgraceful death in fulfillment of Jeremiah words.

The circumstances around Jehoiakim’s death are somewhat unclear, which leads to the possibility that Jeremiah’s prophecy went unfulfilled.
However, you are certainly correct in saying that there are a number of references to unpleasant events relating to his death, which could be fulfillment of that prophecy.
The text will be revised to take that into account.
