I am Laurence J Peter’s eldest daughter. Please correct the Life section.
Correct: spelling of middle name, teacher 1941, distinguished almunist WSU, wives and children.
This section should read – in part:
Laurence Johnston Peter was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on September 16, 1919. He received his bachelor’s (1957) and master’s (1958) degrees in education from Western Washington State College. He then obtained a Doctor of Education degree from Washington State University in 1963 and received the WSU Regents’ Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1980.
He taught in Vancouver schools from 1941 then joined the faculty of the University of British Columbia in 1965. Peter married and he and his wife, Nancy (nee Bailey), had four children: two sons, John and Edward, and two daughters, Alice and Margaret. In 1967 Peter married Irene (Howe) Taylor.
