I am putting together materials to create a template forgiving seminars and informal workshops on public law libraries.
I am trying to find out how many States have put language in their State Codes for Counties to provide public law libraries. So far, I haven’t come up with a definitive answer, but I have yet to ask on the listservs.
I live in CA. I am attempting to gather information on the history of our own public law library in Lake County. I am diligently working with my BOT to try and get them up to speed, to the 21st century in their thinking regarding the role of the public law library. To wit: it is no longer their private sandbox.
We have memberships with CCCLL and NOCALL now that I work there. I began from scratch in 2007-there were documents, but not in a coherent system.
