In this article, it states, “Saimdang married Yi Weonsu (1501-1562) of the Toksu Yi clan in 1522, at the age of nineteen. Yi Weonsu was a descendant of the famous naval admiral, Yi Sunsin.” But clicking on Yi Sunsin brings up an article stating he was born in 1545. The two Yis appear to be contemporaries. One cannot be the descendant of the other.
