Who is responsible for the information presented in this entry claiming pledges of virginity have a positive affect on young people? If your publication believes this to be factual I would be very interested in seeing the evidence that supports your coming to this conclusion.

First, I would remind you that the article is talking about pledges of virginity prior to marriage, not as a lifelong commitment. When talking about the benefits of virginity, these are also limited to premarital celibacy. Naturally, sexual relationships are valued within marriage!
