Werewolf

There is a werewolf like legend told by the inuits where they are called the Adlet. They have red fur and are half-human and half-wolf all the time. I believe it would be worth while for someone to research and add either under werewolf or under its own article.

Thank you for that suggestion. I will indeed research the Adlet, and at least add note of them to the Werewolf article as you suggest, and possibly develop a separate article later.

Hi. The reference to modern German is incorrect. “Werwolf” (capitalized) should be the spelling of the noun werewolf in modern German. “Wehrwolf” was a pun among Nazis for a plan of 1944 called “Werwolf” but involving the Wehrmacht commandos [pun on “Wehr” = fend off, or defense] (see ).

Woops! I just found an English Penny Dreadful by George W. M. Reynolds from 1847 called “Wagner the Wehr-Wolf” — but again, this isn’t German. And among 19th century novels referencing werewolves, his spelling is singular.
